CVE-2022-48918 is a NULL pointer dereference in the Linux kernel iwlwifi Multi Virtual MAC (mvm) wireless-driver module. When debugfs is disabled through the kernel command line, the module's debugfs registration path uses an invalid or unchecked debugfs_dir pointer in iwl_mvm_dbgfs_register(). Loading and initializing the affected iwlmvm module can therefore dereference the invalid pointer and trigger a kernel oops.
