CVE-2022-49328 is a use-after-free flaw in the Linux kernel mt76 wireless driver. The mt76_txq_schedule transmit-queue scheduler can dereference the mtxq->wcid pointer while the associated mac80211 station-information object is concurrently being allocated, destroyed, or freed. The pointer was not protected by RCU synchronization. KASAN detected an eight-byte read-after-free in the mt76 transmit worker, including an mt7921 execution path. The upstream fix protects mtxq->wcid access with RCU locking across the scheduler and station-information lifecycle operations.
