CVE-2022-50054 is a NULL pointer dereference in the Linux kernel Intel Adaptive Virtual Function (iavf) network driver. An error-handling path in iavf_init_get_resources can free the adapter's virtual-function resource structure after iavf_get_vf_config returns IAVF_ERR_ADMIN_QUEUE_NO_WORK while leaving the network device registered. A subsequent ethtool settings request invokes iavf_get_link_ksettings, which dereferences the freed-and-NULL resource pointer, causing a kernel oops.
