CVE-2022-50070 is a race condition in the Linux kernel Multipath TCP (MPTCP) implementation. An MPTCP-level retransmission can race with mptcp_close(): the packet scheduler checks a subflow's state before acquiring the subflow socket lock, then may queue or retransmit data through a subflow socket that has already closed. The condition was observed as an inet_sock_destruct warning during socket teardown. The fix rechecks subflow socket status while holding the subflow socket lock and adds a missing status check for the fallback-to-TCP path.
