CVE-2022-50211 is a slab out-of-bounds read in the Linux kernel MD RAID10 implementation. The raid10_remove_disk function can use an invalid disk-number value without first validating it, causing an eight-byte read immediately beyond a RAID10 configuration object allocation. The fault was observed in the RAID10 recovery path during a device-mapper/LVM RAID reshape operation.
