CVE-2022-50341 is an out-of-bounds write in the Linux kernel CIFS/SMB client encryption path. During encrypted SMB request processing, CIFS supplies a buffer used by crypt_message() through an SMB request scatter-gather vector. cifs_sg_set_buf() did not correctly derive page mappings and offsets for vmalloc-backed buffers. Consequently, scatterwalk_copychunks() can attempt to copy the final bytes of the buffer across a page boundary and write into read-only memory, causing an arm64 kernel oops. The upstream fix updates cifs_sg_set_buf() to map the correct pages and offsets for vmalloc buffers.
