CVE-2023-21125 is a high-severity elevation-of-privilege vulnerability in Android's System component affecting Android 12 and 12L. The flaw is located in the Bluetooth HID Host handling code, specifically the btif_hh_hsdata_rpt_copy_cb function in bta_hh.cc, where a use-after-free condition can lead to memory corruption. An attacker able to reach the vulnerable Bluetooth code path can trigger the stale pointer condition and corrupt memory in a way that enables privilege escalation.
