CVE-2023-24536 is an uncontrolled resource-consumption vulnerability in Go multipart form parsing. The flaw affects mime/multipart.Reader.ReadForm and net/http request methods that invoke multipart form parsing, including FormFile, FormValue, ParseMultipartForm, and PostFormValue. Multipart inputs containing extremely large numbers of parts can cause ReadForm to undercount form memory consumption, create many small and short-lived allocations, and impose substantial garbage-collection pressure. The corrected implementation improves memory accounting and allocation behavior and enforces configurable limits on form-part counts and multipart header fields.
