CVE-2023-28322 is an information-disclosure vulnerability in curl/libcurl before 8.1.0 affecting reused easy handles for HTTP(S) transfers. When an application first performs a PUT request configured with CURLOPT_READFUNCTION and subsequently reuses that handle for a POST request configured with CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, libcurl can incorrectly retain and invoke the prior read callback to obtain the POST body. The erroneous PUT-to-POST state transition can cause the application to send unintended data, behave unexpectedly, or encounter a use-after-free or similar memory-safety condition.
