CVE-2023-32070 is a cross-site scripting vulnerability in XWiki Platform affecting versions prior to 14.6-rc-1. The issue is caused by the HTML rendering layer failing to properly validate and neutralize dangerous HTML attributes, attribute values, and link URLs. As a result, attacker-controlled content rendered by XWiki, including content supported in XWiki syntax, can inject executable script into generated HTML. When that content is viewed, the injected script can execute in the victim’s browser in the security context of the affected XWiki instance.
