CVE-2023-46589 is an HTTP request-smuggling vulnerability in Apache Tomcat caused by incorrect parsing of HTTP trailer headers. A trailer header exceeding the configured header size limit can cause Tomcat to interpret one request as multiple requests, potentially enabling request smuggling when deployed behind a reverse proxy. Affected versions are 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.0-M10, 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.15, 9.0.0-M1 through 9.0.82, and 8.5.0 through 8.5.95. Older end-of-life versions may also be affected.
