A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the SpaceX Starlink Wi-Fi router Gen 2 prior to firmware version 2023.48.0. The vulnerability is present on the Setup Page, where the 'ssid' and 'password' parameters are not properly sanitized, allowing injection of malicious scripts.

This repository contains a proof-of-concept exploit for CVE-2023-49965, a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the captive portal of the SpaceX Starlink Router Gen 2 (version 2022.32.0 and earlier). The exploit leverages insufficient input filtering on the 'ssid' and 'password' parameters of the setup page, accessible at http://192.168.1.1/setup and, due to a bug, also at http://192.168.100.1/setup. The exploit is delivered as an HTML file (exploit.html) that injects a malicious script via the password parameter, which, when executed in the victim's browser, sends gRPC requests to the Dishy device at http://192.168.100.1:9201/SpaceX.API.Device.Device/Handle. This allows the attacker to issue commands such as stow/unstow to the Dishy antenna, effectively taking control of the device. The attack requires local network access but demonstrates a powerful chaining of XSS and CSRF techniques to bypass browser Same-Origin Policy and control Starlink hardware. The repository consists of a detailed README.md explaining the vulnerability and exploit, and an exploit.html file containing the operational exploit code.
