In Apache ActiveMQ Artemis versions prior to 2.29.0, the Log4J2 MBean was exposed via the authenticated Jolokia endpoint, allowing authenticated users access to diagnostic information and controls not intended for non-administrative users. This exposure could be abused by an authenticated attacker to write arbitrary files to the filesystem, which could be leveraged to achieve remote code execution (RCE).
