CVE-2023-52520 is a reference-count leak in the Linux kernel platform/x86 Think-LMI driver. During setting-name validation, a duplicate attribute located through kset_find_obj() returns a referenced object, but the affected code did not release that reference with kobject_put(). Repeated processing of duplicate Think-LMI attributes can therefore retain kernel object references and leak associated resources.
