A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ath9k WiFi driver (ath9k_htc_txstatus function) allowed a potential array-index-out-of-bounds read. The issue arises when the txs->cnt value, which is derived from USB device input, exceeds the bounds of the txs->txstatus array (size HTC_MAX_TX_STATUS). Although a WARN_ON() check exists, there was no handling after the check, leading to possible out-of-bounds access. The bug was discovered using a modified version of syzkaller and affects the ath9k_htc_txstatus function in htc_drv_txrx.c.
