CVE-2023-52595 is a deadlock condition in the Linux kernel rt2x00 wireless driver. A hardware reset clears device registers and stops hardware queues, but mac80211 does not automatically stop the associated beacon queue. Without explicitly stopping and restarting that queue during reset handling, the beacon queue remains deadlocked and cannot resume operation. This prevents affected access points from accepting subsequent client connections, including observed failures involving Apple devices after ieee80211_restart_hw() is invoked.
