CVE-2023-52675 is a null-pointer dereference in the Linux kernel PowerPC In-Memory Collection Performance Monitoring Unit (IMC PMU) component. The update_events_in_group() code path uses memory returned by kasprintf(), which can return NULL when dynamic allocation fails, without first validating the result. The fix adds the missing NULL check before the allocated value is used.
