A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's tty subsystem allowed any unprivileged user to attach the N_GSM0710 line discipline (ldisc), which is intended for GSM multiplexing. The operation should have required CAP_NET_ADMIN privileges, as creating a GSM network contextually requires this capability. The vulnerability was resolved by enforcing the requirement for CAP_NET_ADMIN in the initial namespace when attaching the N_GSM0710 ldisc.
