CVE-2023-6679 is a NULL pointer dereference in the Linux kernel Digital Phase Locked Loop (DPLL) subsystem. The flaw occurs in dpll_pin_parent_pin_set() in the DPLL netlink implementation, where a NULL pointer can be dereferenced while processing a DPLL pin parent-pin configuration request. This can cause the kernel to crash or restart.
