CVE-2024-1540 is a command injection vulnerability in the deploy+test-visual.yml GitHub Actions workflow of the gradio-app/gradio repository. The vulnerability is due to improper neutralization of special elements in commands, specifically unsafe handling of GitHub context information within a run operation. Expressions inside ${{ }} are evaluated and substituted before script execution, allowing attackers to inject and execute arbitrary commands.
