CVE-2024-21094 is a difficult-to-exploit vulnerability in the HotSpot component of Oracle Java SE, Oracle GraalVM for JDK, and Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition. It affects Oracle Java SE 8u401 and 8u401-perf, 11.0.22, 17.0.10, 21.0.2, and 22; Oracle GraalVM for JDK 17.0.10, 21.0.2, and 22; and Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition 20.3.13 and 21.3.9. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit the issue remotely through multiple protocols by supplying data to affected HotSpot APIs, including through a web service. It also applies to client Java deployments that execute untrusted sandboxed Java Web Start applications or applets and rely on the Java sandbox for isolation.
