ggit is vulnerable to OS command injection in all versions. The affected APIs, including fetchTags(branch) and commit-message handling that incorporates a caller-supplied SHA, concatenate untrusted revision or branch input into Git command strings and execute them through Node.js child_process.exec. Because exec invokes a system shell, shell metacharacters in the supplied value can be interpreted as additional commands. Input validation is limited to checking that values are non-empty strings rather than enforcing valid Git revision syntax.
