CVE-2024-26855 is a NULL pointer dereference in the Linux kernel Intel Ethernet Controller (ICE) driver, in ice_bridge_setlink(). The function obtains a bridge-specific netlink attribute using nlmsg_find_attr() and subsequently passes the resulting pointer to nested-attribute processing without first verifying it is non-NULL. A malformed or incomplete bridge link configuration message that omits the expected attribute can therefore cause the kernel to dereference a NULL pointer. The flaw was introduced in Linux kernel 4.20 and affects the ICE driver.
