CVE-2024-26925 is an improper locking flaw in the Linux kernel Netfilter nf_tables subsystem. In the transaction abort path, nf_tables_module_autoload() could temporarily release the commit mutex before nft_gc_seq_end() completed the active garbage-collection sequence. This permits an asynchronous garbage-collection worker to collect expired objects and acquire the commit lock within the same GC sequence, violating the intended critical-section synchronization. The fix defers module-autoload handling until the end of abort processing, after nft_gc_seq_end() has been called.
