CVE-2024-26964 is a NULL pointer dereference in the Linux kernel xHCI USB host-controller driver. In xhci_map_urb_for_dma(), the driver can allocate a temporary linear buffer before copying data from a scatter-gather list. If the allocation fails, the code previously continued to the copy operation with a NULL destination pointer, causing a NULL-pointer dereference. The fix checks the allocation result and returns -ENOMEM when allocation fails.
