CVE-2024-27048 is a NULL pointer dereference in the Linux kernel Broadcom brcm80211 Wi-Fi driver. The brcmf_pmksa_v3_op() routine did not handle failure of a kzalloc() request for a pmk_op structure and could subsequently dereference the resulting NULL pointer. The upstream fix checks the allocation result and returns -ENOMEM when allocation fails.
