CVE-2024-27062 is a race condition in the Linux kernel Nouveau DRM graphics driver caused by missing synchronization for the client object tree. Concurrent addition, removal, and lookup of client objects—particularly objects associated with VRAM BAR mappings—can cause a lookup in nvkm_object_search() to traverse an object tree undergoing modification. This can result in invalid memory access and a kernel general-protection fault.
