CVE-2024-2782 affects the Contact Form Plugin by Fluent Forms for Quiz, Survey, and Drag & Drop WP Form Builder for WordPress. In all versions up to and including 5.1.16, the /wp-json/fluentform/v1/global-settings REST API endpoint lacks a required capability check, allowing requests to reach privileged settings-modification functionality without proper authorization. As a result, an unauthenticated attacker can modify the plugin's global settings through the REST API.
