CVE-2024-32009 is a local privilege escalation vulnerability affecting Siemens Spectrum Power 4 in all versions earlier than V4.70 SP12 Update 2. The flaw is caused by incorrectly set permissions on a binary within the application, enabling a local attacker to abuse the misconfiguration and elevate privileges to the administrative level. The issue is not remotely exploitable and requires local access to the affected system.
