CVE-2024-35838 is a resource-leak vulnerability in the Linux kernel mac80211 Wi-Fi subsystem. During station allocation, mac80211 can create station-link objects before marking the links valid, such as while connecting to an AP multi-link device (MLD). If the station is subsequently removed before any link becomes valid, the cleanup path can fail to release the allocated station-link objects, causing a memory/resource leak.
