CVE-2024-35893 is an information-disclosure flaw in the Linux kernel traffic-control skbmod action implementation. The act_skbmod dump handler serializes a tc_skbmod structure to a netlink attribute without first initializing the entire structure. The structure contains a four-byte padding hole, causing uninitialized kernel-stack data to be included in action dump and notification messages returned to user space. The fix zero-initializes the structure before its fields are populated and serialized.
