CVE-2024-36270 is a NULL pointer dereference in the Linux kernel netfilter transparent-proxy (TPROXY) IPv4 handling path. The nf_tproxy_laddr4() path can use the result of __in_dev_get_rcu() without first verifying that it is non-NULL. This occurs when IP has been disabled on the relevant network device. The fix makes TPROXY bail out when no IPv4 in-device structure is available.
