CVE-2024-36924 is a deadlock vulnerability in the Linux kernel SCSI lpfc driver. The lpfc_worker_wake_up() function invokes lpfc_work_done(), which acquires hbalock. Calling lpfc_worker_wake_up() while already holding hbalock can therefore cause a deadlock and disrupt availability. The fix releases hbalock before invoking lpfc_worker_wake_up().
