CVE-2024-4769 is an observable-discrepancy vulnerability in Web Worker resource imports. In affected Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird versions, error messages differed depending on whether a cross-origin resource was served with the application/javascript content type or a non-script content type. This behavior exposed a cross-origin side channel that could reveal information otherwise protected by the same-origin policy. Affected versions are Firefox before 126, Firefox ESR before 115.11, and Thunderbird before 115.11.
