CVE-2024-49535 is an improper restriction of XML External Entity references vulnerability in Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader. Affected versions include Acrobat Reader 24.005.20307, 24.001.30213, 24.001.30193, 20.005.30730, 20.005.30710 and earlier, with fixed versions identified as Acrobat DC and Reader DC 24.005.20320, Acrobat 2024 24.001.30225, and Acrobat/Reader 2020 20.005.30748 or later. The flaw allows a maliciously crafted XML input containing an external entity reference to be processed in a way that can expose data outside the Acrobat sandbox. The issue requires user interaction, specifically that a victim process a malicious XML document.
