CVE-2024-50562 is an insufficient session expiration flaw in FortiOS SSL-VPN. Affected versions include FortiOS 7.6.0, 7.4.6 and earlier in the 7.4 branch, 7.2.10 and earlier in the 7.2 branch, and all versions in the 7.0 and 6.4 branches. The vulnerability allows reuse of a cookie associated with SSL-VPN portal authentication after the original session has expired or after the user has logged out. As a result, possession of a previously issued authentication cookie can permit renewed access to the SSL-VPN portal despite the session no longer being valid.
