CVE-2024-52940 is an information exposure vulnerability affecting AnyDesk for Windows through version 8.1.0. When the "Allow Direct Connections" feature is enabled, the product can inadvertently disclose the user's public IP address in network traffic. Successful exploitation requires knowledge of the target's AnyDesk ID and use of the direct-connection functionality. The issue is an unintended exposure of sensitive network metadata rather than arbitrary code execution, but it can reveal endpoint addressing information that should not be exposed to untrusted parties.

This repository contains a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) tool, 'Abdal AnyDesk Remote IP Detector', written in C# (.NET 6), designed to demonstrate and validate CVE-2024-52940, an information disclosure vulnerability in AnyDesk (version 8.1.0 and below) on Windows. The vulnerability allows an attacker to obtain the public IP address (and potentially the private IP if on the same LAN) of a remote AnyDesk user by leveraging the 'Allow Direct Connections' feature with the connection port set to 7070. The repository includes a single main code file (Program.cs) that monitors active TCP and UDP connections on the attacker's machine, filtering for those associated with the AnyDesk process. When a direct connection is established, the tool displays the remote IP addresses involved, thus exposing the target's IP information. The repository also contains solution/project files, manifests, and multilingual README files with detailed vulnerability and usage information. No fake or malicious code is present; the tool is a legitimate PoC for a real vulnerability.
