A vulnerability in the SonicWall SMA100 SSLVPN firmware 10.2.1.13-72sv and earlier versions mod_httprp library loaded by the Apache web server allows remote attackers to cause Stack-based buffer overflow and potentially lead to code execution.

This repository contains a Python exploit script (cve-2024-53705-sonicwall-rce.py) targeting SonicWall SMA devices vulnerable to CVE-2024-53703, a stack-based buffer overflow in mod_httprp.so. The exploit works by first downloading a session database from the target device to extract a valid session, then triggering a stack overflow to generate a stacktrace in the device's log file. It subsequently downloads the log file to extract the base address of the LIBC library, which is used to construct a ROP chain for remote code execution. The payload is a bash reverse shell that connects back to the attacker's machine. The script sets up a local listener to receive the reverse shell and uses several network endpoints on the target device to perform the attack. The exploit requires at least one active session on the target and is operational, providing a working reverse shell if successful. The repository structure is simple, consisting of a README and the main exploit script.
