CVE-2024-5564 is a buffer-overflow vulnerability in libndp's processing of IPv6 Router Advertisement route information. libndp did not correctly validate route-length information in a malformed Router Advertisement packet. When NetworkManager processes such a packet through libndp, an attacker can trigger a buffer overflow in the NetworkManager process.
