Qi-ANXIN Tianqing Endpoint Security Management System v10.0 contains an arbitrary file write issue in its quarantine restore functionality. The restore operation allows a user to restore a quarantined malicious file to an attacker-controlled arbitrary file path rather than restricting restoration to a safe or original location. As described, this can be abused to place a malicious DLL into a Windows system path or another location searched by privileged processes. By combining the arbitrary file placement with Windows DLL hijacking behavior, an attacker can cause a higher-privileged process to load the attacker-supplied DLL, resulting in privilege escalation.
