CVE-2024-58075 is an unchecked-return-value flaw in the Linux kernel NVIDIA Tegra cryptographic driver, introduced in Linux 6.10. Under memory-exhaustion conditions, Tegra CMAC or SHA request initialization can fail and return an error. The driver could nevertheless transfer the cryptographic request to the hardware, operating on a request whose required initialization did not complete. The fix stops request transfer when either initialization routine fails.
