CVE-2024-58286 is a critical remote code execution vulnerability in dizqueTV version 1.5.3. The vulnerability arises from improper input validation in the FFMPEG Executable Path settings, allowing attackers to inject arbitrary shell commands. By modifying the FFMPEG executable path with crafted input, an attacker can execute arbitrary commands on the underlying system, such as reading sensitive files like /etc/passwd. The flaw is associated with OS Command Injection (CWE-78) and is remotely exploitable without authentication or user interaction. Proof-of-concept exploits are publicly available.
