CVE-2024-6333 is an authenticated remote code execution vulnerability affecting Xerox Altalink, Versalink, and WorkCentre products. The vulnerability allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected device, potentially leading to full system compromise.

This repository is a small standalone Python exploit for CVE-2024-6333, an authenticated command injection / remote code execution issue in Xerox printer web interfaces, specifically the Network Troubleshooting Log feature. The repository contains one main exploit script (CVE-2024-6333.py), a README with usage and vulnerability context, and a requirements file listing requests, beautifulsoup4, and urllib3. The exploit workflow is straightforward: it creates an HTTP session, disables TLS verification warnings, logs into the target printer web UI using supplied or default admin credentials, scrapes a CSRF token from the login page, then accesses the vulnerable network troubleshooting page. It first stops any existing troubleshooting/logging jobs, then injects a malicious value into the security.nwtroubleshoot.destination.server configuration field using the HTTP_Set_Config_Attrib_fn action. The injected value embeds a bash reverse shell command using /dev/tcp and an attacker-supplied listener host/port. The script then triggers execution by starting the network log capture with HTTP_Start_NetworkLog_fn. After a 30-second wait, it attempts cleanup by stopping the job and resetting the destination.server field back to 127.0.0.1 while disabling related options. Main exploit capabilities: authenticated login to the Xerox admin interface, CSRF token extraction, configuration manipulation of the vulnerable troubleshooting feature, remote command execution via command injection, reverse shell callback to an attacker listener, and partial artifact cleanup/reset. The exploit is operational rather than just a proof of concept because it includes a working hardcoded payload path and end-to-end trigger logic, but it is not part of a larger exploitation framework. Fingerprintable target-specific endpoints in the code include /properties/authentication/login.php, /userpost/xerox.set, /properties/authentication/luidLogin.php, /properties/security/network_troubleshooting_log.php, and /dummypost/xerox.set. The exploit also relies on the vulnerable parameter security.nwtroubleshoot.destination.server and related form actions HTTP_Authenticate_fn, HTTP_Stop_NetworkLog_fn, HTTP_Set_Config_Attrib_fn, and HTTP_Start_NetworkLog_fn. The attack requires valid admin credentials and outbound network reachability from the printer to the attacker listener.
