CVE-2025-0690 is an integer-overflow vulnerability in GRUB2's interactive read command. While accepting keyboard input, the command tracks input length in a signed 32-bit integer and uses that value when reallocating the line buffer for subsequent characters. Supplying an extremely long line can overflow the length value, resulting in an undersized heap allocation followed by an out-of-bounds heap write.
