CVE-2025-10493 affects the Chained Quiz plugin for WordPress. In versions 1.3.4 and below, the plugin is vulnerable to an insecure direct object reference in the quiz submission and completion workflow because it does not properly validate a user-controlled key. Specifically, the chained_completion_id cookie can be manipulated to reference another user's quiz completion record. By supplying a different identifier, an unauthenticated attacker can hijack and modify other users' quiz attempts, including changing submitted answers, scores, and final results. The available information also states that the issue was only partially patched in versions 1.3.4 and 1.3.5.
