CVE-2025-11262 is a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Link Whisper Free plugin for WordPress affecting all versions up to and including 0.9.0. The issue is caused by insufficient sanitization of the user_id parameter on input and insufficient output escaping when the value is later rendered. An attacker can supply crafted script content through this parameter, have it stored by the application, and cause the payload to execute in the browser whenever a user accesses the affected injected page.

This repository is a self-contained Docker lab and proof-of-concept for CVE-2025-11262, an unauthenticated stored XSS affecting the WordPress plugin Link Whisper Free. The repo is not part of a common exploit framework. Its main exploit logic is in poc/poc.py, a Python script that sends a POST request to /wp-json/link-whisper/ai-auth with a crafted user_id value containing a JavaScript payload and a token formatted to satisfy the vulnerable plugin’s weak validation logic. The script is intentionally scoped to localhost/127.0.0.1 and prints the follow-up admin URL where the stored payload should execute. Repository structure: docker-compose.yml defines two WordPress + MySQL environments, one vulnerable (plugin 0.9.0 on port 8081) and one patched (plugin 0.9.1 on port 8082). vuln/Dockerfile and patched/Dockerfile build the two images, download WP-CLI, and fetch the corresponding plugin ZIP from WordPress.org. docker/lab-entrypoint.sh seeds WordPress automatically, installs/activates the plugin, sets options, and prints admin credentials. scripts/init-wordpress.sh is an auxiliary setup helper. README.md documents the vulnerability chain, usage, expected behavior, and references. Exploit capability: unauthenticated payload planting through a REST endpoint, resulting in stored XSS execution in an administrator browser session when the Link Whisper AI Subscription page is opened. The included payload is a benign alert() marker rather than a credential theft or shell payload. Because a concrete payload is included and the lab is runnable end-to-end, maturity is best classified as OPERATIONAL rather than a pure detection script or README-only PoC.
