CVE-2025-12028 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery vulnerability in the IndieAuth plugin for WordPress affecting all versions up to and including 4.5.4. The flaw is caused by missing nonce verification in the login_form_indieauth() function and at the authorization endpoint wp-login.php?action=indieauth. Because the authorization flow does not properly validate request authenticity, an unauthenticated attacker can induce a logged-in victim to approve an OAuth authorization request for an attacker-controlled application by getting the victim to click a crafted link or visit a malicious page. After approval, the attacker can exchange the resulting authorization code for an access token tied to the victim's account and granted scopes.
