CVE-2025-12735 is an arbitrary code execution vulnerability in the JavaScript expression parsing and evaluation libraries expr-eval and expr-eval-fork. The issue stems from insufficient input validation and unsafe handling of functions exposed through the parser context passed to evaluate(). An attacker who can supply a crafted context/variables object, or access MEMBER values from that context during expression evaluation, can reach unsafe function definition or invocation paths and trigger arbitrary code execution on the host. Based on the advisory, the root cause is that functions passed to evaluate() are not adequately restricted, allowing attacker-controlled objects to expose dangerous functionality to the evaluator.

This repository provides a Python-based exploit and scanner for CVE-2025-12735, a critical remote code execution vulnerability in the 'expr-eval' and 'expr-eval-fork' npm packages (versions < 3.0.0). The main script, 'uknf_cve_2025_12735_expr_eval_rce.py', is a multi-threaded tool that can scan single or multiple targets for the presence of the vulnerable library, discover likely evaluation endpoints, and attempt to exploit the vulnerability by injecting arbitrary functions into the context object, resulting in remote code execution. The tool supports proxying, JSON output, and custom command execution. The README provides detailed usage instructions, mitigation advice, and references. The exploit targets web applications exposing endpoints such as '/api/evaluate', '/api/calculate', etc., that use the vulnerable library to evaluate user-supplied expressions. The repository is well-structured, with a single main code file, documentation, and standard project files.
This repository provides a Python-based exploit and scanner for CVE-2025-12735, a critical remote code execution vulnerability in the 'expr-eval' and 'expr-eval-fork' npm packages (versions < 3.0.0). The main script, 'uknf_cve_2025_12735_expr_eval_rce.py', is a comprehensive tool that automates detection of the vulnerable library, discovers likely evaluation endpoints, tests for the vulnerability, and attempts exploitation by injecting arbitrary functions into the context object. If successful, it can execute arbitrary system commands on the target server and retrieve their output. The tool supports scanning multiple targets, uses threading for speed, and can route requests through proxies. Results are output in JSON format. The README provides detailed usage instructions, mitigation advice, and references. The only code file is the main exploit script; other files are documentation, license, and requirements. The exploit is operational and suitable for authorized penetration testing.
