CVE-2025-15627 is a cryptographic weakness in TP-Link Omada hardware and software controllers affecting version 1 of the Omada adoption protocol. The protocol uses a hard-coded private key to establish trust and protect authentication exchanges between controllers and managed devices during device adoption. Because the same embedded key material is relied upon across deployments rather than being uniquely generated and managed per installation or device, the trust model for adoption communications can be undermined. This weakness can allow an attacker to spoof one side of the adoption relationship and interfere with communications that are expected to be authenticated and protected.
