CVE-2025-21863 is a speculative-execution vulnerability in the Linux kernel io_uring subsystem. The submission queue entry opcode is used to index different internal tables without sanitization against speculative execution. A mispredicted execution path could transiently use an attacker-controlled or otherwise invalid opcode value for a table access. The upstream fix sanitizes the opcode before it is used.
